The European Dealer Championship 2024 to Kick Off at Casino Venlo in the Netherlands
Excitement is building as the European Dealer Championship 2024 (EDC) organized by the European Casino Association (ECA) is all set to kick off this week at the prestigious Casino Venlo in the Netherlands.
The competition, starting on 3 June, will span three days of intense challenges designed to test the dealers’ technical skills, game control, hospitality expertise, and nerves of steel. The ultimate EDC Champion will be crowned on 5 June after a grueling evaluation process by a panel of international judges.
Dealers from across Europe will vie for the coveted title, with the winner walking away with a grand prize of €5,000 ($5,421). The second and third-place finishers will receive €3,000 and €1,500 respectively. Additionally, there will be five skill challenges offering a prize of €500 each for the winners.
Since its inception in 2007, the EDC has been held in 15 different countries and has seen participation from over 500 contestants. ECA General Secretary Hermann Pamminger expressed gratitude to the sponsors for their support in making this international celebration of land-based gaming talent possible.
In a separate competition update, Mecca Bingo recently hosted its inaugural cross-channel slots tournament, with Andrew Thorpe emerging as the victor and walking away with a hefty prize of £10,000 ($12,706).
